Planning Board Public Notice

Notice is hereby given to all residents of the Town of Loudon, the public and interested individuals that a Public Hearing will be held by the Loudon Planning Board in the

Loudon Town Office Meeting Room, 55 South Village Rd, Loudon, NH on

Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 6:00 p.m.

The following proposed Zoning Ordinance amendments will be discussed:

Add S 206.2 P: Churches                 Add 206.3 R: Public or private daycare facilities

Amend S 208.4 C: A residential driveway shall serve one lot or housing unit. Shared driveways require a special exception.

Amend the following sections to each of the zoning districts:

Add 203.4 D. Contiguous Buildable Area: Every lot shall contain at least 30,000 square feet.

Add 204.4 D, 205.4 C, 206.4 D, and 207.4 D Contiguous Buildable Area: Every lot shall contain at least 1.5 acres.

Add definitions for the following to the Appendix: Church; School; Greenhouse; Light Trespass; Luminaire; Sky-Glow

Amend Section 201.4 D: If more than 60% of a lot is classified in the Commercial/Industrial (C/I) District, the entirety of said lot may be considered to be zoned as C/I for the purposes of this ordinance, subject to special exception approval by the Board of Adjustment in accordance with S 701.3.

Amend Section 204.3 P and Section 205.3 N: Outdoor Event Venues, for non-recurring events such as weddings or reunions, not to exceed twelve events per year.

Add Section 208.11 Light Pollution to provide for adequate and appropriate lighting that will reduce glare, minimize light trespass, and minimize sky-glow that degrades the night sky.

The Board shall also discuss the petition submitted by James A. and Laura C. Howell to change the current zoning designation on Map 43 Lot 17 from Agricultural/Forestry Preservation to Rural Residential.
