We have spent $2600 including the recent purchase of a ladder and the payment of the June WiFi.

Melissa is working on the school chapter of the town history book. She has visited the NH Historical Society for information. The recurring themes are repairs and whether to accept out of area students. She has set up an interview with Melanie Kiley to get information on MVHS. Melissa needs to add information about the Village School various additions. The school chapter should be done by the end of the month.

Perry Bros. has come out to talk about the Revolutionary and Civil War plaque. No price has been quoted but funds should come from the town.

The Historical Society will participate in the yard sale on June 12. Any donations are welcome. Some of the expensive items will be priced but most items will be by donation only.

The banners were discussed and DeeDee will take charge of buying (3) vinyl banners with grommets and reinforced edges. They should be white with black or blue letters and read “Loudon Historical Society and Museum” They will run about $60 each and will be a couple of different sizes to fit the front of tables.

We will organize an Old Home Day Raffle with 3-4 baskets. Elizabeth has volunteered to take charge.

The computer status is slow. Dyrace has reorganized the memory and it seems fixed. We could continue the warranty for $99 per year. The group agreed to do it.

The museum will reopen on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 1-3.

The Fire Department has given us pictures and a display case.

Stanley spoke about the Morris Merrill house which is to be torn down. Bruce Yeaton will accompany Stanley to take pictures before the teardown.

Michele has pictures of a piece of wood from an in ground charcoal kiln that was found in the development at the corner of School Street and Bachelder Road. Eight foot circles of charcoal were found at a house where the septic was filled.

The next meeting is July 7 at 6:30pm.

Roger made a motion to adjourn. Wes seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 7:40.

Respectfully submitted,
