Historical Society Meeting Minutes 6-1-22

Attendance: Elizabeth Whitham, DeeDee Tranfaglia, Lucy Gordon, Stanley Prescott, Roger Maxfield, Melissa Moore, Sandi Noel, Liz LeBrun

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Lucy. There was a motion by DeeDee to accept the secretary’s report as written Seconded by Stanley.

Lucy reported $876 remaining in the treasury. The WiFi payment is upcoming.

The Traveling Trunks presentation was done for Young at Heart on May 10 and for the 4th grade on May 26 and 27th. All went well and much interest was shown by each audience.

The book contract was discussed and some insurance companies were suggested for copyright coverage. Melissa is working on the Municipal Government chapter and is trying to touch base with former Chief Fiske. She is also looking for an Edward Rouse photo.

The safe has not yet been repaired. Stanley will pursue this.

Jan Benard has donated more items for the yard sale. She will be sent a thank you.

The Old Home Day Committee continues to meet but is lacking volunteers. The idea was discussed to present the Traveling Trunks program in the afternoon.

The group passed around a copy of the Mark Stevens article written about Stanley’s work on the model Concord Coach.

Dyrace is working on the 2023 calendar.

The next meeting is July 6 at 6:30 pm

Roger made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by DeeDee. Meeting adjourned at 7:17 pm.
