Historical Society Meeting Minutes 8-3-22

Attendance: Roger Maxfield, Polly Touzin, Sandi Noel, DeeDee Tranfaglia, Michele York, Lucy Gordon, Liz LeBrun, Melissa Moore, Stanley Prescott

The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm. Roger made a motion to accept the minutes as written. DeeDee seconded the motion.

Lucy reported that we spent $300 for the safe to be welded. We have $3200 left for this fiscal year.

Melissa reported that Deidre Randall did not receive the first signed copy of the book contract so a second one was sent. Melissa is working on the final chapter, Curiosities A-Z and is polishing up other previously written chapters.

The Travel Trunks presentations have tapered off with the last scheduled presentation to take place on Old Home Day afternoon.

On Old Home Day, the Museum will be open 11-3 with the bake sale outside as in the past. Lucy and Sandi confirmed that they would be there. Polly will set up her display outside as well, with the Historical Society being responsible for those items loaned from the Warner Indian Museum. DeeDee will make posters. Baked goods will be sold by donation.

We talked about inviting Terri Barton and the Old Home Day chairman, Mark G., to our September 7 meeting to begin the organization process for next year’s event which will celebrate the town’s 250th anniversary. Michele will contact Terri and Roger will contact Mark G.

The next meeting will be September 7 at 6:30 pm.

DeeDee made a motion for the meeting to adjourn. Sandi seconded. The meeting adjourned at 7:10pm

Respectfully submitted,

Liz LeBrun
