New Recycling Guidelines For Plastics!!!

The Loudon Transfer Station, starting immediately is now required to implement some new changes regarding the plastic containers they will be able to accept.

The following information shows what types of plastic containers can and can't be accepted.

Only Accepting These #1 Plastic Containers
• Water and Juice Bottles
• Soda and Alcohol Bottles
• Only Clear, Blue and Green Bottles
• No Smaller than 5 oz.
• No Larger than 2.5 gallons
• No Caps
• Containers should be completely
emptied and cleaned

Only Accepting These #2 Plastics Containers
• Milk and Tea Bottles
• Laundry and Coffee Containers
• No Smaller than 5 oz.
• No Larger than 2.5 gallons
• No Caps
• Containers should be completely
emptied and cleaned

NOT ACCEPTING
#1 & #2 Plastic Containers like:
• Mayonnaise Jars
• Peanut Butter Jars
• Produce Shells
• Auto Oil Containers
• Antifreeze Containers
• Any Toxic Chemical Containers
• Plastic Bags
• Brown Containers

These unwanted containers are now considered garbage, and you'll need to throw them in the trash crusher by the office.
Realistically, there are probably more similar containers that will not be accepted. There will be a learning curve with these new regulations.

And as always - If you have any questions please ask the
Transfer Station attendants.

Thank you for your continued support!
